Covid 19 Update

The impact of the Covid-19 virus across the world has affected all of our
lives in a way that was un-imaginable only a month ago. Sadly, like many
Island businesses and visitor centres, the Home of Rest for Old Horses will
be unable to open on 10th May for this summer’s season.

We would however like to assure all of our local and overseas supporters and all those who have visited the Home from far & wide in the past that the care and well-being of all of the horses & donkeys is our priority, along
with the safeguarding of the working environment for our small team of
staff.

The 58 horses & ponies and 15 donkeys at the Home will certainly miss the
visitors during the summer months, but would be extremely grateful for any donations towards their upkeep during these unprecedented times.

Please do still follow the Home on Facebook where there will be regular updates and pictures of the horses & donkeys, and news on their progress and antic’s as they start to enjoy the better weather.

You can also view all of our Horses on our website and for £10 you can adopt any horse or donkey and receive a lovely sponsorship photo of them and news on them throughout the year. As a charitable organisation funded entirely on the goodwill and generosity of the public, the Home remains very thankful for your on-going support.

Donations and Adoptions can be made by post to Isle of Man Home of Rest for Old Horses, Bulrhenny, Richmond Hill, Douglas, IM4 1JH or by telephoning 01624 674594 between 10 am – 12 noon or by our Just Giving Button
